Orientation FAQ's
Q: Is Orientation required?
A: Orientation is mandatory for all first-time-in-college students.
Q: Do I have to attend an Orientation if I was a Dual Enrollment student at SCF?
A: Yes. Dual Enrollment and Early Admission students are required to attend an Orientation.
Q: Who will lead my Orientation?
A: Orientation is facilitated by a Student Development Advisor.
Q: How long will it last?
A: Orientation lasts approximately 3 hours.
Q: What happens if I'm late?
A: If you are late to Orientation, you will be asked to reschedule for a later date.
Q: Can I bring someone with me?
A: Due to space limitations parents and other guests will not be permitted in the
Orientation session.
Q: What should I bring?
A: You will need to bring a picture ID with you, for example your driver's license.
Q: How many students are in each Orientation?
A: There are typically 15-20 students in an Orientation.
Q: Can I change my class schedule after Orientation?
A: Yes! You can adjust your schedule by logging into your SCF Connect account.
