SCF Faculty Lecture to Explore Bats

(Bradenton, Fla., April 2, 2019)The final lecture for the academic year of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) Faculty Lecture Series will explore the fascinating and mysterious life of bats 2 p.m. Apr. 18 in Building 27, Room 105, SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. and via simulcast in Building 400, Room 417, SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. The lecture is free and open to the public. 

Josh Schulte, associate professor of natural science, will present “The Secret Life of Bats.” The lecture will review bat anatomy, echolocation, distribution of species in the Southeastern United States, conservation issues, and the cultural history and impact of bats.
