Gallery at SCF to Host Exhibition of Student Artwork

(Bradenton, Fla., April 11, 2019)The Gallery at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host an opening reception 4-7 p.m. Apr. 12 for a new student art exhibit in Building 11, SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. The reception and ongoing exhibit are free and open to the public. 

The juried exhibit, which showcases the work of SCF art students from all media disciplines created within the 2018-2019 academic year, will run through Apr. 26. Ted Camp, retired faculty member and former head of the art department at SCF, serves as the distinguished guest juror. 

Students are eligible for numerous awards, including Best in Show, President's Choice, Juror's Choice, and Gallery Director's pick. New awards offered this year are Figurative, A Sense of Place, Form and Function, Image/Text and Storytelling. First and second place in all media categories will also be presented.
