100% of SCF OTA Graduates Pass National Certification on First Attempt

(Bradenton, Fla., May 20, 2019)Twenty graduates from the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program (OTA) class of 2018 at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) passed the national certification examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), resulting in a 100 percent pass rate. An additional two graduates are pending taking the exam at a late date. 

The Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, a two-year Associate in Science degree program, prepares graduates to function as members of the health care team who can work in a variety of practice areas including, but not limited to, pediatrics, physical disabilities and mental health. By passing the exam, graduates achieve the statues of certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA).
