Spring 2013 Term Began Jan. 7

The deadline for students to add or drop classes that began Monday, Jan. 7-12, with a refund is by midnight Saturday, Jan. 12. Students can add or drop classes online by logging into their SCFconnect account at

Online and flex schedule classes are available on SCF's website at Applications for college admission to attend12-week courses beginning Feb. 4 and eight-week courses beginning March 4 will be received up until the start of classes.

Another flexible schedule option for Spring 2013 includes Saturday College, a new program available at the Lakewood Ranch campus that allows a student to earn a complete degree in an accelerated time frame by attending Saturday classes; both the Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree and an Associate in Science (A.S.) in Business Administration/Accounting are available.

Major new studies show that Americans with a college degree earn twice the average salary as those without a degree.

At SCF Bradenton, the financial aid department is available in the Student Union, building 14, rooms 147/148 at the following times:

  • Jan. 2 - Jan. 18, Monday –Thursday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Jan. 21-Jan. 25, Monday – Tuesday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Wednesday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

At SCF Venice, financial aid is located in the Selby Room in building 800 through Jan. 18.
