SCF Choirs to Present “Seriously Funny” Concert

(Bradenton, Fla., February 14, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Chamber and Concert choirs will present a concert at 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, in Neel Performing Arts Center at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West.

The theme of the concert is "Seriously Funny" and features classical music with a humorous twist. A variety of musical styles from the Baroque to contemporary periods will be performed.

The concert will highlight choral accompaniments by SCF Guitar Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Piano Duo and soloists including SCF students Esther Dickmann and Jean-Rodny Lallemand, who recently performed at the Florida College System Activities Association Music Symposium Student Artist Contest held at University of South Florida.

The choirs will perform under the direction of Melodie Dickerson, SCF Music Program director, and will be accompanied by pianist Lurray Myers.
