SBDC at SCF to Host Small Business Lunch and Learn May 8

(Bradenton, Fla., April 26, 2013) — The Small Business Development Center at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), in partnership with the city of North Port and the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, will host the second workshop in the Small Business Lunch and Learn monthly series.

The next workshop, “Marketing on a Shoestring,” will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee at North Port, 5920 Pan American Blvd., North Port.

John Fain, executive vice president and partner of Grapevine Communications in Sarasota, will present the workshop designed to explain how marketing can be used to help start and grow businesses. Lunch will be provided at no cost by the program’s sponsors Presto Air and the city of North Port.

The workshops are designed to show business owners how to improve their businesses and stay competitive. Additional workshops will be held on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following dates:
