Arts and Letters Day at SCF Venice Nov. 6

(Bradenton, Fla., October 21, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host Arts and Letters Day on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail. Sponsored by the SCF Venice language and literature and art, design, humanities department, the event is free and open to the public.

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory will perform “Romeo and Juliet” at 11 a.m. and Phil Terman, English professor at Clarion University, will provide a poetry reading at 1 p.m. in the Selby Room in building 800 at SCF Venice. Throughout the day, SCF students who are enrolled in art, literature and creative writing classes will read and demonstrate their works.
