SCF Concert Choir Celebrates “The 12 Days of Christmas” with Sarasota Pops Orchestra

(Bradenton, Fla., November 19, 2013) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Concert Choir will perform with the Sarasota Pops Orchestra, celebrating the “The 12 Days of Christmas” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Riverview High School, 1 Ram Way, Sarasota.

The performance will include “A Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas” by Craig Courtney, “The First Noel” arranged by Arthur Harris, “Three Holiday Songs” by John Williams, and “Light the Legend” by Michael Isaacson in celebration of Hanukkah.

Under the direction of Robyn Bell, SCF director of instrumental studies, the Sarasota Pops Orchestra is comprised of more than 60 musicians, including some of the community’s finest performers of all ages, reflecting the diversity of its audience and patrons.

SCF’s Concert Choir is directed by Melodie Dickerson, director of choral and vocal studies at SCF.
