Ring Sarasota Handbell Ensemble Concert at SCF April 6

(Bradenton, Fla., March 27, 2014) — Ring Sarasota Handbell Ensemble will present a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., in Neel Performing Arts Center, building 11 East. It’s off 60th Avenue West between 26th and 34th streets, accessible from parking lots H or I.

Founded in 2010, Ring Sarasota Handbell Ensemble includes auditioned advanced handbell ringers from New Port Richey to Sarasota who present concerts that appeal to one and all. Directed by Rick Holdsworth, the ensemble performs a variety of music ranging from classical literature to other original compositions written specifically for handbells.

Ring Sarasota is now in its fourth season, “Music From Around the World,” which features music from Japan, Hungary, Russia, England, United States and other parts of the world.  The group uses five octaves of Malmark Handbells, four and a half octaves of Malmark Choirchimes and two octaves of Malmark Cymbells.
