SCF Musical Theatre Ensemble to Perform Broadway Scenes

(Bradenton, Fla., April 7, 2014) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) student vocalists will perform songs and scenes from the Broadway lexicon at 8 p.m. Monday, April 14, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., in Neel Performing Arts Center, building 11 East. The event is free and open to the public.

Students will perform songs and scenes from the following musicals: “Sister Act,” “All Shook Up,” “Sweet Charity,” “Anything Goes,” “The Student Prince,” “Porgy and Bess,” “Chess,” “West Side Story,” “South Pacific,” “Miss Saigon,” “Jekyll and Hyde,” “Gypsy,” “Spamalot,” “Aida,” and “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”

The performance will be directed by Melodie Dickerson, SCF Music Program director, and accompanied by pianist Lurray Myers.
