SCFCS, a tuition-free public charter school, is an innovative, technology-oriented school that allows students to explore their potential, discover the importance of higher education and receive personalized coaching in a close-knit school setting.

Students have the opportunity to earn simultaneously a high school diploma and an associate degree. A partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University provides a scholarship program for SCFCS students to continue to FGCU for a baccalaureate degree after graduating from SCFCS.

SCFCS opened in Fall 2010 with sixth and seventh grades and has expanded to include sixth through 12 grades. The first class graduated in 2014.
