SCF Offers New Accounting Technology Degree

(Bradenton, Fla., July 25, 2014) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer a new Associate in Science (A.S.) in Accounting Technology degree program in Fall 2014.

Designed to prepare students with the knowledge and technological skills needed in the accounting profession, the program provides students with the opportunity to earn certifications in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and other professional business certifications as they complete their degree.

Most courses are offered at all SCF campuses. Courses include Principles of Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting, Intro to Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Computers for Accounting Applications, Business Presentations and Communications, and more.

Students also will have the opportunity to participate in internships at local accounting firms and businesses, and compete in the Phi Beta Lambda business organization’s district, state and national leadership conferences.
