SCF President Probstfeld and Music Program Director Dickerson Appeared as “Celebrity Models” in Palm-Aire Women’s Club Fashion Show

(Bradenton, Fla., November 14, 2014) -- State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) President Dr. Carol F. Probstfeld and SCF Music Program Director Melodie Dickerson appeared as education “celebrity models” in the annual Fashion Show hosted by the Palm-Aire Women’s Club on Friday, Nov. 14, to raise funds for SCF student scholarships and local charities.

Probstfeld and Dickerson were dressed in elegant dresses by Caché Inc. and escorted by SCF music students Brandon Guzman, James Hyde and Chris McCoy. SCF music student Liston Gregory was the jazz pianist who provided accompaniment for the show.

The Palm-Aire Women’s Club created a $25,000 endowed scholarship with the SCF Foundation, formerly the Manatee Community College Foundation in 2001. The Palm-Aire Women’s Club has donated an additional $55,000 in student scholarships to the SCF Foundation in the past 13 years. Each year, the club supports eight scholarships for students to pursue their bachelor's degrees.
