SCF Hosts “Home for the Holidays” Fundraiser
(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 26, 2014) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host an art sale fundraiser to help the homeless in our community this holiday season. The event is open to the public.
Titled “Home for the Holidays,” the sale will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 in the Student Union, Building 14, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.
SCF’s Museum Club, Fine Art Gallery and Department of Art, Design, Humanities are partnering with Harvest House Transitional Centers on the fundraiser.
“Home for the Holidays,” a Museum Club service project, will feature artistic gifts that explore “home” as a theme. Proceeds from sales of the artwork will be split between the artists and Harvest House, with each receiving 50 percent. Buyers will receive a gift receipt in the amount of their purchase/donation.
