Music Students to Present Benefit Concert at State College of Florida
(Bradenton, Fla., December 18, 2014) — Music students at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), will present a benefit concert at 8 p.m. Jan. 22 at Neel Performing Arts Center, 5840 26th St. W.
Students will perform a variety of musical works in the showcase sponsored by the SCF Music Educators Club to benefit SCF music student activities.
SCF students participating in the concert include Christopher Leiper, trumpet; Ryan Brown, tenor saxophone; Brad McDade, clarinet; Emily Champagne, violin; Richard Johnson, guitar; Joshua Weitz, guitar; Katelyn Priest, soprano; Jade Turner, alto; Liston Gregory, jazz piano; Bit Risner, jazz trumpet; John Hetherington, piano; and Medsyre Rochanavibhata, piano.
They also were selected to compete in the Florida College System Activities Association Music Symposium at the University of North Florida Jan. 29 -31.
General admission is $10; donations will be accepted.
