SCFCS Information Sessions Scheduled

(Bradenton, Fla., Jan. 13, 2016) – State College of Florida Collegiate School (SCFCS) will hold information sessions for parents interested in enrolling their children in grades 6 through 10 at SCFCS, as well as families who want to learn more about the school’s Accelerated College program.

Sessions for students entering grades 6 through 10 will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 20 and 27 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W. A short presentation in Neel Performing Arts Center, Building 11 East, will be followed by a self-guided tour of SCFCS, Building 19. Applications for all slots will be available at the information sessions. A random drawing for slots in grades 6 through 11 will be held in March. Grades 6 through 10 do not require entrance criteria.

As an innovative, technology-oriented school, SCFCS is a tuition-free public charter school that allows students to explore their potential, discover the importance of higher education, and receive personalized academic coaching in a close-knit setting.

SCFCS is a high-achieving “A” grade school. Students are enrolled in college classes at SCF Bradenton beginning in 11th grade with an opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously. A partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) provides a scholarship program for students to continue to FGCU for a baccalaureate degree after graduating from SCFCS.
