State College of Florida to Host Accounting Career Fair

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 16, 2015) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will have an Accounting Technology career fair from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 19 in the Student Union, Building 14, Rooms 147-148, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

Prospective students can find out about SCF’s Accounting Program and the requirements for earning an Associate in Science in Accounting Technology degree. Designed to prepare students with the knowledge and technological skills needed in the accounting profession, the program provides students with the opportunity to earn certifications in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and other professional business certifications as they complete their degree.

Students in the program have the opportunity to participate in internships at local accounting firms and businesses. Employers will be on hand at the career fair to talk with students about the requirements for a career in accounting and what they look for in job candidates. Attendees are encouraged to bring their resumes with them.
