SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Welcomes Students for Spring

(Bradenton, Fla., Jan. 5, 2017) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) welcomes students back for the Spring semester on Monday, Jan. 9. Faculty and staff have been preparing for students this week as new classes, productions and events are being planned for the Spring.

SCF will Welcome Back students Jan. 9 and 10 at SCF Bradenton. Maverick the Manatee will be on hand to greet students and celebrate the first week back to school.

SCF continues its celebrations of the 60th Anniversary of the College with events and speakers throughout the year. Baseball season is already heating up and music and theatre events are on the calendar. It’s a year full of talent, learning and excitement. For a list of concerts visit

Homecoming weekend begins Jan. 19 with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The weekend continues with a golf tournament on Friday, Jan. 20, and alumni baseball and softball games on Saturday Jan. 21. To reserve your seat for Hall of Fame or to register for the golf tournament, visit
