SCF Business Students Excel at District Leadership Conference

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 9, 2016) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) business students in Phi Beta Lambda-Gamma Beta Upsilon excelled at the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) district leadership conference at South Florida State College (SFSC) Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 in Avon Park. They were among the 52 registered students from PBL District IV colleges/universities that competed in different events. Participating teams were from SCF, University of South Florida, Pasco-Hernando State College Spring Hill and New Port Richey campuses, SFSC and Hillsborough Community College. The district competition prepared and qualified the members for the upcoming 67th Annual Florida Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) State Leadership Conference and Competition in Orlando, March 17-20.

FBLA-PBL district awards were given to these SCF PBL members:

FBLA-PBL is a nonprofit education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields by developing their leadership, communication and team skills and giving them an opportunity to network and compete at local, state and national levels.
