SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Librarian Named to Council on Library Services

(Bradenton, Fla., June 14, 2016) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) librarian Mark Marino has been appointed to serve on the committee for Collection Management and E-Resources for the Members Council on Library Services.

This appointment is for three and a half years beginning July 1. The committee is charged with recommending which e-resources will be licensed for all college and university libraries, budgeting for subscriptions, recommending ways to help build the Florida College System and the State University System, and coordinating with state Academic Library Service staff and other committees.

Marino’s appointment offers opportunities to help with statewide college and university library issues, develop leadership and collaborative working skills, and to participate in the continuing development of the Florida Academic Library Services Cooperative (FALSC).
