SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Volleyball Player is State’s Setter of the Week

(Bradenton, Fla., Oct. 6, 2016) — The Athletics Program at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) congratulates Eliska Truneckova, who was named the Florida College System Activities Association setter of the week for her work in Volleyball matches Sept. 26-Oct. 2.

Truneckova, a freshman from Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, averaged 15.5 assists over three matches and eight sets and averaged 10.3 assists per set as well as 1.16 kills and 3.25 digs. She also recorded back-to-back double-doubles against Polk State (44 assists, 19 digs) and South Florida State (57 assists, 18 digs), both 3-2 wins. She led SCF to two wins in three matches during the voting period.

Volleyball fans can see Truneckova in action at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Hal Chasey Gym at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., when the team plays Hillsborough Community College; or Oct. 15 when they play at noon against Polk State College and 5 p.m. against Pasco-Hernando State College.
