Dance Students to Give Recital at SCF, Manatee-Sarasota

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 15, 2016) — The public is invited to a free performance by dance students at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center, 5840 26th St. W.

SCF students and dual-enrollment high school students from Manatee School for the Arts (MSA), about 40 in all, will perform dances they have choreographed along with group numbers designed by Kelly Burnette, dance instructor at MSA. Dance styles can vary, as the class studies jazz, ballet, modern, tap and ballroom. The recital counts as the SCF students’ final exam and the MSA students’ midterm exam.

During the construction of SCF’s new Library and Learning Center, parking for SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center will be west of Building 11, in Parking Lot I. Entrance to the auditorium remains on the east side of the building, with a drop-off area directly to the south of the front doors. Signs along 60th Avenue West and the drive lanes on campus guide patrons to the drop-off area and parking.
