SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Offers Manufacturing Course

(Bradenton, Fla., Dec. 8, 2016) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer a certification program for Production Technicians through its partnership with the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSCC). Online classes begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 20 and continue through Feb. 23.

This online course, which requires a headset and microphone, is taught 6-10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Dec. 20 through Feb 23. The course consists of five modules and four assessments and costs $899 per person, including registration, books, test codes and facilitation. Students who successfully complete the course earn their MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification. The CPT is a nationally recognized certificate that can be used for employment across all manufacturing sectors.

When all four key assessments are successfully completed, students also receive 15 credit hours toward an A.S. in Engineering Technology degree, which can be used at Florida state colleges that offer the A.S. in Engineering Technology degree.
