SCF, Manatee-Sarasota to Host Marriage Equality Panel Discussion

(Bradenton, Fla., Dec. 22, 2016) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host a marriage equality panel discussion at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 18 at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, building 800 in the Selby auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

A panelist from Equality Florida will offer a statewide update on issues affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (and/or questioning) individuals/identities (LGBTQ). In addition, five members from the LGBTQ community will join in a panel discussion about marriage equality. Kristen Zaborski, an assistant professor, will moderate the discussion. Each panelist will be given several questions and may share personal experiences. Audience members also will be able to ask questions.
