Interactive Concert at SCF, Manatee-Sarasota to Feature Chamber Music

(Bradenton, Fla., March 21, 2017) — The Music Department at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer an interactive Chamber Music Concert at 7:30 p.m. April 7 at SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center, 5840 26th St. W.

“Join Us On Stage, But Don’t Touch My Tuba” will allow audience members to sit up close and personal while SCF music ensembles play some of their favorite chamber music selections. Groups that will perform are the Woodwind Choir, Brass Choir, Flute Choir, Saxophone Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Brass Quintet, Saxophone Quartet, Presidential Jazz Quartet, Presidential String Quartet and Presidential Vocal Ensemble.

General admission is $8; $4 for students and SCF employees. Tickets can be purchased at or by calling the box office at 941-752-5252.

During the construction of SCF’s new Library and Learning Center, parking for SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center will be west of Building 11, in Parking Lot I. Entrance to the auditorium remains on the east side of the building, with a drop-off area directly to the south of the front doors. Signs along 60th Avenue West and the drive lanes on campus guide patrons to the drop-off area and parking.
