Student Services Collecting for Food Pantry as SCF Students Return

(Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 15, 2017) — As State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) students get ready to return to school on Aug. 21, the Student Life team at SCF is busy restocking its food pantry for hungry students. Since it opened last school year, the pantry has provided food to more than 80 students across SCF’s three campuses.

To prepare for the beginning of the school year, Student Life is collecting donations of food that has been depleted or is running low. Those items include peanut butter, jelly, nuts, granola bars, beef jerky, canned fruit pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, canned tuna, canned chicken, Vienna Sausages, rice, cereal and macaroni and cheese.

Donations will be accepted at these locations:

  • SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., Building 14, the Hub,
  • SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail, Building 500, the Hub,
  • SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway E., Medical Technology and Simulation Center lobby.
