SCF Theatre Presents “Christmastown: A Holiday Noir”

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 16, 2017) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Theatre presents the East Coast premiere of “Christmastown: A Holiday Noir,” by Seattle playwright Wayne Rawley, at 8 p.m. Dec. 2, 7, 8 and 9, and 2 p.m. Dec. 3 and 10, at the David S. & Anne V. Howard Studio Theatre, SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

Dean Anthony directs the film noir-inspired holiday play in which private eye Nick Holiday investigates some shady dealings taking place in Christmastown, where every day is Christmas Eve. The Seattle Times calls this comedy-thriller “the best new holiday romp of the year.”

The cast made up of SCF theatre students includes Nick Catanzaro as the private eye, with Rosie Messina-Adam, Hunter Beaman, Rachel Cook, Jack Heckler, Nicole Miller and Alex Wojtaszek portraying citizens of Christmastown.

Reserved seats are $12 for adults and $6 for SCF staff and all Florida students. Tickets go on sale Nov. 27 at SCF’s Neel Performing Arts Center box office, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
