Learn More About SCF’s Computer Technology Programs on National Technology Day

(Bradenton, Fla., Jan. 4, 2018) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is highlighting its computer technology programs on National Technology Day Jan. 6. As the community’s college focused on workforce degrees requiring up-to-date computer skills, computer technology programs have long been an integral part of SCF’s offerings.

For degree-seeking students interested in computer technology, SCF offers Associate in Science degrees in computer information technology, computer programming and analysis, network systems technology and technology project management. Students can continue their education at SCF toward a bachelor’s degree in technology management.

The college also provides a wide array of computer technology-related certificates including computer aided design and drafting; computer programmer; database administrator; information technology analysis; network infrastructure, security or server administration; and web development specialist. Other industry-specific technology certificates also are available.

SCF’s Corporate & Community Development (CCD) division offers computer technology courses for non-degree seeking students. One-day courses in how to use a computer, Microsoft Office Suite programs, using an iPad and other courses supply the community with much-needed training in computer technology.
