SCF Manatees Third Baseman C.J. Alexander Named Player of the Week

(Bradenton, Fla., March 20, 2018) — C.J. Alexander, a sophomore playing third base for the Manatees of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), was named the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) Player of the Week for games played March 12-18.

Alexander batted .688 (11-for-16) with eight runs scored, including three doubles, two home runs and seven RBIs during the voting period, leading the Manatees to a perfect 4-0 week. Alexander also posted four straight multi-hit games and scored at least one run in each, including three games with two or more runs. He was 4-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs in the game against Polk State College. He also drew five walks and stole a base.
