SCF Venice Green Team Sponsoring Earth Day Event

(Bradenton, Fla., April 20, 2018) — As part of its Earth Day observance, State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host a free lecture, “Darwin, Art and the Emerging Concepts of Ecology,” sponsored by the campus Green Team at noon April 23 at SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail in the library, room 307. 

Woody McCree, professor of philosophy and religion at SCF Venice will be the featured lecturer. McCree teaches “Environmental Ethics” and other courses at SCF Venice. His research in recent years has ranged from naturalistic landscaping to botanical exploration and botanical art, and the intersection of art and nature spirituality, especially in 19th century America.
