SCF, Manatee-Sarasota Welcomes Students for Spring
(Bradenton, Fla., Jan. 3, 2019) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) welcomes students back for the spring semester on Monday, Jan. 7. Faculty and staff are preparing for students this week as new classes, productions and events are planned for the spring. It’s still not too late to register for classes.
SCF’s student life will host the spring welcome back tables for students Jan. 7 and 8 at SCF Bradenton. Maverick the Manatee will be on hand to greet students and celebrate the first week back to school.
Baseball season is already heating up as the Manatees continue an impressive basketball season. Music and theatre events are on the calendar and opportunities for all students have expanded. It’s a year full of talent, learning and excitement.
Homecoming weekend begins Jan. 17 with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The weekend continues with a golf tournament Friday, Jan. 18, and alumni volleyball, softball and baseball games on Saturday, Jan. 19. SCF also will open its campuses to the public for many events this spring including Avenues to the Future Feb. 23 at SCF Bradenton and Evening Under the Stars April 6 at SCF Venice.
