SCF Theatre Presents “Perfect Wedding”

(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 7, 2019)State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Theatre presents Robin Hawdon’s “Perfect Wedding” at 8 p.m. Feb. 15, 16, 22 and 23 and 2 p.m. Feb. 17 and 24, at the David S. & Anne V. Howard Studio Theatre, SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

“Perfect Wedding” is a riotous comedy and touching love story. With several hundred productions worldwide, it is among Hawdon’s most popular plays.

The plot begins when a man wakes up in the honeymoon suite on his wedding morning next to an extremely attractive naked woman. Due to a stag night hangover, he doesn’t remember meeting her. Panic ensues when his bride arrives to dress for the wedding, and the girl hides in the bathroom. The best man is forced to claim the hidden girl as his girlfriend. The crisis escalates outrageously when the bride’s mother and the best man's actual girlfriend arrive. As one critic notes, “It all works out in the end, but not before playgoers have aching sides.”

The cast includes SCF students Kathryn Daniel, Kelsey Fisher, Jack Heckler, Michael Longobardi, Veronica Powell and Luke Sandlin.

Reserved seats are $15 for adults, $10 for SCF employees and $8 for all Florida students. Tickets are on sale now through the SCF Neel Performing Arts Center box office.
