Register Now for SCF’s Spring Break Camp for Kids

(Bradenton, Fla., Mar. 7, 2019)State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will hold Kids’ Spring Break Camp, with morning sessions from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and afternoon sessions from 1:30 to 5 p.m., March 25-29 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th Street W. and SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway E. 

Kids' Spring Break Camp combines fun activities and education, covering a variety of topics such as coding, cooking, design, digital photography, and sports and games. 

  • “Programming and Coding for Kids” is a fun way for kids to learn STEM skills while creating video games and animated stories and bringing their imaginations to life. Recommended for kids ages 8-11. The fee is $140. 
  • “Android APP coding and Design for Kids” provides hi-tech fun as kids learn to design and code Android APPS and games. (Students provide Android device or use one provided). Recommended for kids ages 8-11. The fee is $140. 
  • “Budding Chefs and Wide World of Sports” helps kids fall in love with cooking for the pure fun of it and maybe become the next “master junior chef.” Kids also learn that playing sports and games outside can be much more than just physical activity. Recommended for kids ages 7-10. The fee is $70. 
  • “Digital Photography” is ideal for kids who want to learn simple techniques for taking beautiful photos. (Students provide digital camera or smartphone and power cord.) Recommended for kids ages 7-10. The fee is $70. 

Lunch is 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and not included with the registration fee. Early morning drop-off and late pick-up are available for an additional fee. For more information and to register, visit SCF.edu/CCDEnroll or call 941-752-5203.
