SCF Board Report: May 28, 2019
(Bradenton, Fla., June. 13, 2019) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees (BOT) held its regular monthly meeting May 28 at SCF Venice.
The board heard presentations on:
- SCF’s Budget for the 2019-20 fiscal year from Julie Jakway, vice president, Finance and Administrative Services.
The board approved:
- Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items.
- A contract with Tandem Construction for construction management in the amount of $68,356 for phase one of the renovation of Building 8 at SCF Bradenton.
- A $500,000 budget increase for the construction of the Studio for the Performing Arts at SCF Bradenton.
- A contract with Rowe Architects in the amount of $340,000 for architectural design and engineering for the Studio for the Performing Arts at SCF Bradenton.
- Negotiations with the top-ranked construction management firm, Willis Smith Construction, for the renovation of Building 8 and construction of the Studio for the Performing Arts at SCF Bradenton.
- SCF’s fiscal year 2020-21 through 2024-25 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
- President Probstfeld’s 2019-2020 goals.
- The transfer of METV operations into SCF’s Communications and Marketing department effective July 1, 2019.
The next board meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. June 25, 2019, at SCF Bradenton.
