SCF Board of Trustees Report: September 29, 2020

(Bradenton, Fla., September 29, 2020)State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees (BOT) held its regular monthly meeting virtually on September 29.

The board elected:

  • Edward Bailey as its chair and
  • Tracy Knight as the vice chair.

The board heard a presentation on:

  • Communications and Marketing Data Analytics from Jamie Smith, SCF director, communications and marketing.

The board approved:

  • Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items except for Exhibits Q: Acceptance of Gifts and Grants May 2020, and U: Acceptance of Gifts and Grants June 2020 under the Financial Consent Agenda, which have a minor data error that will be corrected and brought back for approval at the Oct. 27 BOT meeting.
  • A project in the amount of $200,000 to replace the air-cooled chiller for the SCF Lakewood Ranch campus.
  • A project and contract in the amount of $170,302.37 with E Guard Roof & Safety for roof coating on SCF Bradenton Building 8, Center for Advanced Technology & Innovation, and Building 25, Science.
  • A list of 26 contractors for the annual prequalification for SCF general construction projects costing $50,000 to $1,000,000.
  • President Probstfeld’s performance based on completed 2019-20 goals and targets.

The next board meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 27, 2020, at SCF Venice.
