SCF Lakewood Ranch Hosts ‘Dare to Lead’ Workshop

(Bradenton, Fla., Nov. 10, 2020) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) in partnership with ViDL Solutions, will host “Dare to Lead,” a half-day virtual Zoom workshop, centered on five-time New York Times best-selling author Dr. Brené Brown's empirically-based courage-building program, Friday, Dec. 4, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Online registration is available at SCF.edu/CCDenroll through the “Leadership” link in the Professional Development category on the website’s left-side menu.

Led by Natalie Johnson, co-founder and chief visionary of ViDL Solutions, participants can expect to learn:

  • Vulnerability is the foundational skillset of courage.
  • The critical role self-awareness plays in Daring Leadership.
  • Armor (not fear) is the greatest obstacle to Daring Leadership.
  • Four measurable, observable and teachable skillsets that make up courage.

The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing courage-building skills through workshops and trainings that help individuals, teams and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership. The cost of the workshop is $199 per person.
