SCF Offers Flexible Classes This Fall to Help Balance Priorities

(Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 12, 2021) Registration is open for fall semester Flex Start classes at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), allowing students to take courses that accommodate their schedules and help balance priorities like finances, family and career. These accelerated classes are condensed versions of a traditional 16-week class, providing the same credits in 12-week, eight-week and five-week sessions beginning Aug. 16, Sept. 20, Oct. 11 and Oct. 25.

With nearly 400 available Flex Start classes, students will be able to earn credits applicable to any of SCF’s two-year degrees, four-year degrees and workforce certificates. Financial aid, in the form of grants, scholarships, payment plans, federal work-study and loans can be used toward the classes as well.

Flex Start courses will be delivered at SCF’s campuses in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and Venice, online, and through Go Live, the college’s online learning option featuring live interaction between professors and classmates. Students also can choose to take classes during the evenings and weekends to plan around their schedules.
