AMVETS Post 2000 Donates Apple iPads for Student Veterans

(Bradenton, Fla., Aug. 31, 2021) State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) Venice Student Veterans of America (SVA) chapter received a donation of two Apple iPads from the AMVETS Post 2000 in North Port. With this donation, SCF student veterans and dependents will be able to use the equipment on a reoccurring basis to help with their academic studies.

SVA works on five key initiatives to deliver the resources needed for military veterans to succeed in higher education and contribute to civilian society: supporting campus chapters, advocacy, connecting alumni, investing in research and developing partnerships with organizations to provide opportunities for deserving communities. SVA works together with the SCF Foundation to provide support for student veterans at SCF. SVA chapters exist at both SCF Bradenton and SCF Venice.

For more information on how to donate to SCF Veteran Services, visit SCF-Foundation.org or contact Andrea Lachapelle, director of financial aid & veteran services, at LachapA@SCF.edu or 941-752-5187.
