SCF Board of Trustees Report: September 28, 2021

(Bradenton, Fla., September 28, 2021)State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees (BOT) held its regular monthly meeting virtually and in-person with essential staff and trustees on September 28.

The board elected:

  • Tracy Knight as its chair and
  • Dominic DiMaio as the vice chair. 

The board heard presentations on:

  • SCF Dashboards from Acting Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Research Dr. Ryan Hale.
  • SCF 26 West Center Entrepreneurship Center from Director Kim Richmond.

The board approved:

  • Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items.
  • Spring 2022 SCF Fee Schedule Changes.
  • A list of 21 contractors for the annual prequalification for SCF general construction projects costing $50,000 to $1,000,000.
  • Negotiation with Hepner Architects for SCF Venice Science & Technology Building design.
  • Negotiation with Tandem Construction for SCF Venice Science & Technology Building design.
  • An increase of budget from $3,946,543 to $4,500,000 for the Venice Science & Technology Building.
  • Revision of the College Capital Improvement Program pages CIP2 and CIP3 within the FY2022-23 through FY2026-2027.
  • President Probstfeld's performance based on completed 2020-21 goals and targets.

The next board meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. October 26, 2021, at SCF Bradenton.
