SCF Systems Upgrade Notice

SCF is excited to announce that an updated, online user experience is coming! This new release delivers a number of important upgrades, including a modern user interface, enhanced navigation and process management tools, and new functionality across the student, HR and finance functions.

To bring these new and improved features to your computer or mobile device, SCF’s computer systems will undergo an upgrade from 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2 until approximately 8 a.m., Monday, Aug. 6. During this time, MYSCF will be unavailable.

Current students, faculty and staff are highly encouraged to plan in advance for this outage. Here are some things you can do to prepare:

Students

  • Register for your Fall 2018 classes before August 2.
  • Update all information and collect/print any information you need from MYSCF before 6 p.m., August 2.
  • If you are a student worker and would normally submit your time electronically for the week ending August 3, use a paper timesheet (available from your supervisor).

Faculty/Staff

  • If you normally submit your hours electronically in Banner self-service, you will need to use a paper timesheet (available from the payroll department) for the week ending August 3.
  • Update all information, and collect/print any needed information PRIOR to 6 p.m., August 2.
  • Address any questions or concerns related to the outage in advance to your dean (faculty) or department director/manager (staff).

SCF email and Canvas will remain available, but if you normally access them via MYSCF, you will need to use the following links instead:

During regular business hours on Friday (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), if you need assistance regarding registration or class schedules, contact SCF Admissions at 941-752-5050 or email Admissions@SCF.edu. For Financial Aid questions, call 941-752-5037 or email AskFinAid@SCF.edu. For assistance with other non-technical areas affected by the outage, call 941-752-5000.

If you need technical assistance during the outage, the IT Help Desk will have extended hours: 

  • Friday, August 3 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5 – 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Monday, August 6 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
