The mission of Veteran Services at State College of Florida is to bridge the transition from military life to college life and beyond for our student veterans and dependents. In connection with the mission of SCF, Veteran Service Centers on the Bradenton and Venice campuses work to provide caring, engaging, and quality services through accessible learning environments resulting in student success and community prosperity.
Getting Started
- Be sure to apply to the College
- Submit your high school transcript or GED transcript
- Request official transcripts of all previous college or university coursework (regardless of grades) NOTE: VA will not allow certification of coursework past two semesters if the College has not received all prior credit (including military credit
Information to consider: The Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020 requires educational institutions to make certain disclosures to students using federal military and/or VA educational benefits. You can access a personalized cost of attendance data sheet by viewing your Student Finance tab and selecting “FINANCIAL AID AWARDS” in your MYSCF portal. Veteran Advising
Veteran Services is can schedule individual student advising appointments, which are available in person, by phone, or online. SCF Veteran Services offers a one stop shop that helps veterans, military members and their family throughout the college experience.
