Pre-College Workshops Launch at SCF Coding Academy

(Bradenton, Fla., March 14, 2023) — The Coding Academy at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will host free pre-college workshops for high school students interested in pursuing majors and degrees in emerging technologies at the Center for Advanced Technology and Innovation in the 26 West Center, 5840 26th St. W. Designed for ninth-12th graders, participants can experience hands-on learning opportunities in the fields of robotics, drones, and cybersecurity from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, or augmented and virtual reality, and 3D modeling and simulation from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 3.  Light refreshments and opportunities to network with industry partners will also be available.

“We are thrilled to offer these workshops to high school students and provide them with a glimpse into the exciting and rapidly growing world of technology,” said Desh Bagley, director of the SCF Coding Academy. “We believe that it’s never too early for students to start exploring career interests and learning about the technologies that will shape the future.”
