Foundations of Floral Design

Learn the basics of floral design beginning with color theories, design element and then the actual creation of a floral arrangement. Hands-on projects will help to ensure that students understand the how and why of floral design. Materials fee of $35 included.

Bedazzling Jewelry Making

Learn the basic skills to create original jewelry designs using beads and various types of wire. Classes include using elastic cord, memory wire and "Beadalon" coated stringing wire, headpins, crimping, making beaded wire links, pearl stringing and basic design skills. Students complete a matching necklace, bracelet and earring set with materials provided then continue on with other projects with their own beads.

Art For Creative Growth

In this hands-on workshop, students will experiment in creating art in many different mediums utilizing sand paintings, sand trays, mandalas and spontaneous drawings. The class is open to anyone regardless of previous art training. This class offers a glimpse into the field of art therapy  which can foster a sense of inner peace, wholeness and stress relief. This course introduces the concept of art therapy for those who may chose to pursue further study.

Introduction to Ikebana Part 1

Learn and practice the ancient art of Japanese floral arranging through the Sogetsu School of Ikebana.  Hands-on projects ensure that students understand the how and why of this amazing floral art.  There are a total of four parts to this series culminating in a certificate of completion issued from Tokyo, Japan. Material fee of $50 included.

Digital Photo Restoration, Repair & Retouching

This hands-on class will cover basic and advanced aspects of digital photo restoration/repair and image retouching using Photoshop CS5. This class wil give you the tools to restore, repair and retouch damaged photos for fun and profit. If you take the time now to learn everything this class has to offer now, you will be ready to handle just about any image-editing challenge your likely to encounter.
