SCF Board of Trustees Report: Sept. 30, 2025

The board heard presentations on:
- Organizational Meeting for the purpose of electing a chair and vice chair of the SCF District Board of Trustees – Tommy Gregory, J.D., president, SCF.
- Annual Review: SCF mission statement and strategic planning – Ryan Hale, Ph.D., vice president, institutional effectiveness, SCF, and Tylisha Johnson, D.B.A., program manager, entrepreneurship program, and assistant professor, business, SCF.
- President’s Report – Tommy Gregory, J.D., president, SCF.
- Employment Update – Paul Berkle, director, human resources, SCF.
- Fall Enrollment – Brittany Pyjas, Ed.D., vice president, student services and enrollment management, SCF.
- SCF Foundation Update – Cassandra Holmes, vice president of advancement and executive director, SCF Foundation.
The board approved:
- Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items.
- Approval of a permanent State College of Florida Venice Collegiate School building capital project in the amount of $16,000,000.
- Approval of a State College of Florida Parish Collegiate School capital project in the amount of $16,900,000.
- Approval of $2,000,000 gift that will rename SCFCS Bradenton and Venice to Dr. William H. Jervey, Jr., SCF Collegiate School and the naming of the Dr. William H. Jervey Jr. SCF Collegiate School Auditorium once constructed.
The next board meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 at SCF Venice.
