Admissions Checklist
Welcome back to State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. Whether you’re returning to complete a degree or begin a new academic path, we’re here to help you rejoin the SCF community.
How to Return to SCF
1. Submit a New Application
Former students must submit a new application at SCF.edu/Apply to reactivate their student account. You will not need to resubmit transcripts previously submitted to SCF. However, residency documentation will need to be reverified to determine eligibility for in-state tuition.
2. Complete Florida Residency
If you did not upload your Florida Residency documentation during your application, you may submit them by:
- Email: Residency@SCF.edu
- Fax: 941-727-6024
- In person: Bradenton or Venice campus
Acceptable documentation includes Florida driver’s license, voter registration, vehicle registration, proof of permanent employment, or a combination of other official records. For a full list of accepted documents, please visit SCF.edu/Residency.
3. Submit Updated Transcripts (If Applicable)
If you have taken college courses since your last enrollment at SCF, please have your official transcripts sent directly from the institution to:

- Fax: 941-727-6380
- In person: Office of the Registrar
SCF only accepts official documents sent directly from the issuing institution or agency. Transcripts emailed by students will not be accepted.
4. Complete Orientation and Registration
Orientation Not Required
Former students are not required to complete orientation. You may proceed directly to registration once your application and records are updated.
Register for Classes
After your application is processed and any new transcripts are evaluated, you may register for classes through MYSCF. Academic advisors are available to help you create a schedule and build a path to success.

A.A. Degree
Complete a two-year Associate in Arts degree designed for transfer to a four-year university.
A.S. Degrees and Certificates
Earn a two-year Associate in Science degree or workforce certificate to prepare for high-demand careers.
