SCF Board of Trustees Report: Oct. 28, 2025

Bradenton, FL (Oct. 28, 2025) – State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting on Oct. 28.
The board heard presentations on:
- President’s Report – Tommy Gregory, J.D., president, SCF.
- Mission Moment: Fundamentals of Biology – Andrew Swanson, Ph.D., professor, biological sciences, SCF.
- SCF Foundation Update – Cassandra Holmes, vice president of advancement and executive director, SCF Foundation.
The board approved:
- Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items.
- Following list of contractors for the annual re-qualification and pre-qualification for SCF general construction projects costing $50,000 to $1,000,000: Burke Construction Group, Inc.; Centennial Contractor Enterprises, Inc.; Creative Contractors, Inc.; Halfacre Construction; Heatherwood Construction Company, Magnum Builders, Manasota Commercial Construction; McIntyre Elwell & Strammer General Contractors, Inc; re:fab, Inc.; Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc.; Stellar Development; Tandem Construction, Inc.; Wharton-Smith, Inc.;
- A contract in the amount of $33,983,264.80 with Tandem Construction to construct a new multi-purpose building at the Parrish campus.
- President Gregory’s 2024-25 final goal report and compensation.
- President Gregory’s 2025-26 Contract.
The next board meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at SCF Bradenton.
