State College of Florida Mathematics Scholarship Award Applications Open

BRADENTON, FLA (Feb. 11, 2026)—State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Mathematics Department is accepting applications for its Memorial and Initium scholarship awards. students. The deadline to apply is Feb. 19.

The State College of Florida Foundation established the Memorial Award to honor late SCF mathematics faculty members for their service to the institution. The foundation also created the Initium Award to recognize students who demonstrated achievement in mathematics before attending SCF.

The Memorial Award provides $800 in scholarship funding, awarded to one student or split equally between two recipients. Recipients’ names are engraved on a plaque displayed in the mathematics department.

Application instructions and forms are available at SCF.edu. Email completed application and supporting documentation to Davidson Pierre, associate professor, mathematics, at PierreD@SCF.edu. Applications may also be mailed or hand-delivered to State College of Florida Mathematics Department, 5840 26th St. W., Building 27, Bradenton, FL 34207.  

Awards will be presented at the SCF Honors Convocation in April.
