Bradenton, Fla. Apr. 21, 2022

(Bradenton, Fla., April 21, 2022) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is accepting applications from high school students to dual enroll through the Early College program for the Summer and Fall 2022 semesters. The deadline to register for dual enrollment is May 15.

Dual-enrolled students enjoy the benefits of earning tuition-free college credits while completing their high school graduation requirements. SCF offers dual enrollment for students in Manatee, and Sarasota counties as well as for students at Lemon Bay High School in Charlotte County. Students can be enrolled in approved public or private high schools, or can be home schooled, and still be eligible to apply for dual enrollment. Students dual enrolling at SCF can take classes with any instruction method offered at the college, including in-person classroom lectures and online learning.

Registering for Early College requires the completion of an SCF application, the submission of qualifying test scores on the SAT, ACT or PERT exam, and the Early College contract signed by the student, a parent or guardian, and the student’s guidance counselor. The SCF application is available at SCF.edu/Apply. Visit SCF.edu/EarlyCollege to complete the Early College contract and for additional instructions.
