SCF Board of Trustees Report: March 29, 2022

(Bradenton, Fla., March 29, 2022) — State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) District Board of Trustees (BOT) held its regular monthly meeting virtually and in-person with essential staff and trustees on March 29.

The board heard presentations on:

  • Enrollment from Ryan Hale, acting vice president for institutional effectiveness and research and Brittany Nielsen, vice president of student services and enrollment management.
  • The annual financial report from Julie Jakway, vice president of finance and administrative services.

The board approved:

  • Nonfinancial and financial consent agenda items.
  • A contract in the amount of $129,394.65 with Commercial Design Services to provide furniture for the SCF Venice Collegiate School modulars project.
  • A contract in the amount of $575,045.29 with Jon Swift Construction for dental hygiene facility upgrades at SCF Bradenton.
  • An increase of $200,000 in the overall budget from $1,000,000 to $1,200,000 for dental hygiene facility upgrades at SCF Bradenton.
  • An increase of $1,664,505.76 in the overall budget from $4,545,536 to $6,180,041.76 for HVAC upgrades and indoor air quality project at SCF Bradenton, SCF Lakewood Ranch and SCF Venice.
  • A contract in the amount of $2,920,471.01 with Jon Swift Construction for HVAC upgrades to Buildings 1, 6, 7 and 14 at SCF Bradenton, Building 100 at SCF Venice, and the Center for Innovation and Technology at Lakewood Ranch.
  • A contract in the amount $1,497,823 with Willis Smith Construction for chiller plant upgrades at SCF Venice.
